Digital Futures will provide essential links between education and industry to future proof the tech talent pipeline. The programme provides support to schools by harnessing the power of real role models and the expertise of industry mentors.
We have over 250 businesses signed up to support schools, you can take a look at who your students could be working with here.
Leverage career opportunities in digital
There are and will be a growing number of career opportunities for young people. However, as an industry, we need work with schools to encourage and enable more young people to consider careers in digital and technology.
We also know that our sector is constantly changing and is often difficult to understand from the outside. We want to work with and support teachers to change this, as well as support educators to ensure the curriculum they teach is industry relevant and connected to the world of work so that young people can thrive and fulfil their potential in our sector.
To ensure we make a sustainable impact for change, our Digital Futures innovative support programme supports schools achieve progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks and has bespoke approaches and content suitable for:

The force behind Digital Futures is Manchester Digital, the largest independent trade body for the digital and technology sector in North West.

We believe that by harnessing the power of industry experts we can help tackle the digital skills gap for the future and enable more young people to have amazing careers right here in the region.
